NIADA Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Foundation
Introduction
The National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Foundation was established in 2006 by the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association. Operating as an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Foundation manages a scholarship program designed to encourage, support and educate students who intend to pursue careers in the automotive industry. Scholarship awards will be disbursed to the recipient’s chosen college for the Fall 2025 term.
Regions
Applicants must reside in one of the four NIADA regions listed below.
- REGION I: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, District of Columbia, Michigan.
- REGION II: Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama.
- REGION III: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas.
- REGION IV: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a high school senior during the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Legally reside in one of the states or the District of Columbia listed under the four NIADA regions above.
- Provide an official high school transcript demonstrating strong academic performance.
- Demonstrate an interest in pursuing work in the automotive industry.
Application instructions and deadlines
- Complete and submit the official scholarship application form.
- All required materials must accompany the original application when submitted. The Foundation will not accept supplemental documents sent separately or received after submission.
- Applications must be received by March 21, 2025.
Selection and notification
Each application will be checked for completeness and forwarded to the Scholarship Selection Committee. Submissions are evaluated by region, and one winner will be chosen from each of the four NIADA regions based on the merits of their application. Winners will be notified by the Foundation office by mid‑May 2025 and will be honored at NIADA’s Annual Convention & Expo in June 2025.
