Scholarship Evaluation Factors
The main factors considered for awards are:
CHARACTER. Recommendations from academic deans or advisors, professors or teachers, employers, and personal acquaintances are required.
ABILITY. Academic transcripts reflecting a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale are required.
FINANCIAL NEED. Awards are determined based on proven financial need. The maximum annual award is $10,000. Applicants must provide copies of their and their parents’ most recent income tax returns (2023). A comprehensive estimate of academic expenses and resources is required.
Eligible scholars are encouraged to seek financial aid from all available sources including federal, state, college, and university funding. The Foundation does not provide funds to cover existing debts.
SCHOLARSHIP DECISIONS
Applicants will be informed of the Scholarship Committee’s decisions in May. Awards are given for one year only. However, scholars who demonstrate their ability and ongoing financial need may reapply for renewal.
Application Deadline
- There is no specific deadline for submitting a Request for an Application.
- The cutoff is automatically enforced when a sufficient number of requests have been received. The Foundation has stopped accepting applications for the 2024-25 academic year. We will start accepting Requests for an Application for 2025-26 in July 2024.
- Renewal applications for the 2025-26 year will be sent directly to returning scholars in December 2024.
