Overview
The Texas 4-H Foundation Opportunity Scholarship uses an entirely web-based application. Applicants must upload any required supporting documents during the online submission. A school official or counselor is also required to complete a portion of the online form; the application will not be considered complete without their input. To be eligible for a Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship, all stated minimum requirements must be satisfied.
Important Dates for the 2026 Cycle
- November 1, 2025 — Online application opens
- February 15, 2026 by 11:59 PM — Application deadline (NEW DEADLINE). No extensions will be granted.
- April 24–26, 2026 — Interviews held in College Station
- May 2026 — Recipients notified
- June 3–4, 2026 — Scholarship banquets in College Station
Scholarship Categories and Who Should Apply
- Baccalaureate: For students planning to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) from an accredited college or university in Texas.
- Courageous Heart Scholarship: For Texas 4‑H members (pursuing either a baccalaureate or a technical credential) who have faced significant hardships—medical, family, and/or educational—but remained active in both 4‑H and their school.
- Technical Scholarships: For students seeking technical certification in an approved and recognized major or course of study.
