Southern Automotive Women’s Forum
Scholarship Sponsored by Southern Automotive Women’s Forum
The Southern Automotive Women’s Forum (SAWF) is committed to promoting the progression of women in the automotive sector by inspiring young females to consider careers in STEM—science, technology, engineering, and math. The SAWF aims to foster self-assurance, competence, and aspiration among students, guiding them to discover the diverse roles available in the automotive industry, from technical roles to executive positions.
In an effort to bridge the gender disparity in STEM, the SAWF offers advice, mentorship, and financial aid to deserving female scholars. Since the inception of the program in 2011, the SAWF has granted over $516,500 in scholarships and continues to expand its influence through industry fundraising and professional gatherings.
Eligibility for the program requires applicants to be women who are either enrolled or intending to enroll in a STEM-related course at an accredited two-year technical program, four-year undergraduate program, or graduate program in a southern state. The chosen field of study must be relevant to a career in the automotive industry. (refer to the complete eligibility guidelines)
