SETC provides scholarship support for students who are continuing their theatre education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Important eligibility and application notes - Applicants must be current SETC members. - You may need a Google account to upload required supporting documents. - Scholarship payments are issued the first week of July. Undergraduate scholarship - Steve Bayless Undergraduate Scholarship — $2,000 - Awarded to a high school student who is entering a college or university within the SETC region to pursue a theatre major. Graduate scholarships - Leighton M. Ballew Directing Scholarship Award — $2,000 - For a student studying directing at a regionally accredited graduate school. - Denise Halbach Performance Scholarship Award — $2,000 - For a student pursuing acting or musical theatre in a regionally accredited graduate program. - Robert Porterfield Scholarship Award — $2,000 - For a student entering or enrolled in a regionally accredited graduate school to study theatre. - Marian A. Smith Costume Scholarship Award — $1,000 - For a student pursuing a graduate degree in costume design and/or costume technology at a regionally accredited program. - William E. Wilson Scholarship Award — $5,000 - For a secondary school educator working toward a theatre degree or a combined speech and theatre graduate degree at a regionally accredited institution.
