Masonic Foundation of DC Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Masonic Foundation of the District of Columbia
For more than 20 years the Masonic Foundation of the District of Columbia has supported outstanding high school graduates by providing scholarships to help them pursue their college goals.
Overview of awards
- Two distinct scholarship tracks are offered. Recipients may receive up to $10,000 per academic year. Awards are renewable for a total of up to four years (the initial award plus up to three renewals), provided renewal requirements are met.
- Renewal option: the scholarship may be renewed up to three times if the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Who is eligible
- Masonic Foundation of DC Scholarship (MFDC Scholarship): Open to graduating seniors from District of Columbia public high schools or DC public charter schools.
- DC Freemason Scholarship (DCM Scholarship): Open to graduating seniors who are the family member or dependent of a Freemason who is in good standing with the Grand Lodge, Free And Accepted Masons, of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC. The sponsoring Freemason must have a valid dues card number. Eligible family relationships include great-grandparent, grandparent, parent, or legal guardian of the applicant.
Minimum application requirements
Applicants must meet the following to be considered:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Submit a complete online application, which must include:
- All application questions fully answered.
- Official high school transcript.
- FAFSA form showing the Estimated Student Aid Index (SAI).
- If the applicant is under 18 at the time of submission, the parent or legal guardian must provide approval and signature.
- Apply during the scholarship application period. The regular application window runs from February through April each year.

- The Masonic Foundation of DC reserves the right to change, suspend, or extend the scholarship application period at its discretion.
