Introduction The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) offers scholarships to support qualified students — including NSPMA members in good standing — who are pursuing technical or trade certifications or degrees in facilities and engineering-related fields. Who may apply Applicants may be graduating high school seniors or undergraduates at the freshman, sophomore, or junior level. NSPMA members in good standing are eligible, as are qualified students who meet the program requirements. Award details A total of $5,000 has been allocated for this scholarship program and will be distributed among up to five recipients. Individual awards will range from $500 to $1,500, determined according to the application criteria. Selection criteria and review Applications are evaluated by the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Selection factors include demonstrated financial need, academic performance, involvement in co-curricular activities, community service, and the applicant’s essay response. Funding and sponsors Scholarship support comes from the NSPMA Scholarship Trust Fund. The program is sponsored by individuals currently employed in, or retired from, school custodial, maintenance, and operational services. How to apply and deadline Complete application instructions and required materials are available on the NSPMA scholarship application. All applications must be submitted by March 1, 2026. Special note for members’ families Children and grandchildren of NSPMA members are eligible to apply. Applicants who are a member’s child or grandchild should include a cover letter that names the NSPMA member and lists the school district where that member is employed.
