Overview
Race For Education is offering several 2026 scholarships in collaboration with partner organizations. Each award has specific residency, field-of-study, or family-employment eligibility requirements described below. Some applications require supporting documents and will not be considered without those attachments.
2026 Race For Education KEEP Foundation Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students who reside in Kentucky and are studying in equine, animal science, or agricultural fields — or students whose families work in those industries.
- Partnership: This scholarship is offered in conjunction with the Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP) Foundation.
2026 Bob Reeves Memorial Scholarship
- Eligibility: Ohio students who are pursuing studies in equine, animal science, or agriculture — or whose family members are employed in those industries.
- Note: Applications missing the required attachments will not be accepted.
2026 Race for Education Dual Credit Scholarship
- Eligibility: Kentucky high school students enrolled in an equine-related dual credit program at an eligible participating college or university in Kentucky.
- Note: Applications missing the required attachments will not be accepted.
2026 Robert J. Frankel Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students attending a college or university in California or New York whose families are employed in the Thoroughbred industry. Applicants must have a minimum 2.85 GPA and either an annual household income under $75,000 or be financially independent from their parents.
- Award: $5,000, funded through a partnership between Race For Education and the Robert J. Frankel family trust.
- Note: Applications missing the required attachments will not be accepted.
2026 Washington Thoroughbred Foundation Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students attending a college or university in Washington state who are preparing for careers in pre-veterinary medicine (with an equine emphasis), equine science, racetrack management, equine business, pasture management, or equine marketing and communications related to racetracks, horse farms, and similar operations.
- Partnership: This award is provided through a collaboration between Race For Education and the Washington Thoroughbred Foundation.
2026 WinStar Farm Scholarship
- Eligibility: Students whose family member is employed by WinStar Farm and who are enrolled in a college or university, pursuing any field of study.
- Award: $4,000 scholarships funded through a partnership between Race For Education and WinStar Farm.
